While you were sleeping...

... I was busy cleaning the house.  Ya'll are lucky you are cute!   :)

Easter Weekend 2012

Ty and Caden

Caden and Kache love bubbles--and their Nonny

So maybe Cody and I were more interested in Caden's egg hunting than he was...he would rather wave at the car driving by.

They were both fairly grumpy at this point but I was determined to start our Easter picture tradition.
Miss Hadley--4 weeks old

Only picture of momma this weekend.  Cody caught me struggling to pick up an egg...I blame the mastitis that set in that day.

Canola

My dad and uncle are in a farming/ranching business together.  They are primarily wheat farmers but recently have started rotating other crops into their fields.  This is from one of their canola fields.  It was my first time to ever see canola.  It has beautiful yellow flower blooms!  These pictures just don't do it justice, it actually looks almost iridescent when the sun is shining on it!

I decided to try and get a few pictures of Hadley out in the canola since we were going out to check it out anyway.  I regretted not having any pictures of Caden in his first few weeks of life because they change so much every day at that age.  The pictures didn't turn out great (Hadley didn't like the wind or she would get hungry, etc.) but we had a good time while we were out!

Giving Sissy "mooches"

Such a big boy now--he likes to help.

We figured out where Caden gets his tongue thing.

I love this picture because this is one way I will always remember my parents-- Dad making a goofy joke or comment and mom just laughing at him.

Such a gentleman!

Meet Trip

Conversation via text message while at was at work and about 36 hours before I was scheduled to be induced into labor...

Cody:  What time will you get off work?
Cody:  You need to come home!
Me:  Probably around 7:00.  Why?  Is everything ok?
Cody:  Yes.  Hurry!

I walked in the house to this surprise...

I was suddenly a "parent" to a 6 week old blue heeler puppy.  Don't we have a way with timing??  This definitely makes the top 10 list of things Cody should have thought twice about before doing.
Anyway, this is Trip.  She actually stayed unnamed for about 2 weeks due to the fact that this wasn't entirely planned and we were a little busy with a brand new baby girl.  So "Trip" it is--after all, she is a heeler and sometimes you can't stop what is a natural instinct.

Hadley's Baptism

Hadley was baptized on March 25, 2012--only 16 days old!  She was such a good girl through it all and never made a sound, even when Pastor Snyder carried her around so the congregation could see her.  In fact, between our friends and family we took up the entire first two pews and had 6 kiddos from 0-2 years old and they were all so well behaved through it all.  I was impressed!

Hadley Ann, you are dearly loved and we are excited to watch you grow up to be the young lady God wants you to be!

Caden is just too busy to stop and take a picture these days
