We had a beautiful white Christmas this year! I'm talking over 9 inches of snow here in Holliday, TX. We're just not equipped for that kind of weather around here because it never happens! I sure am missing my husband though. It's our 1st Christmas as a married couple (even though we've been together for almost 5 years). He works for TxDOT in Seymour and worked about 20 hours yesterday and 13 hours today and i'm sure he'll be at it again tomorrow. I haven't seen him at all since Wednesday (i'm trapped in Holliday at my parent's house) so maybe we'll do our Christmas on Saturday or Sunday.
It's a good thing Cody and I are used to being apart all the time. I live in Lubbock while attending physical therapy school and he lives about 160 miles away in Seymour. We joke that we have a "weekend marriage". We should be able to live together by August though if everything works out (keep your fingers crossed for us because we'll have a newborn by then, too). Cody spent last Christmas in Iraq so I'm just happy to have him back safely and that I get to talk to him this year!
Our dog, Bailey, sure loves all the snow! She just leaps though it all and buries her head in it. I had so much fun watching her play.
